A Call for Leaders

Take this country back

This country is desperately in need of leaders plavix. No, I am not talking about politicians; we have an overabundance of them lamictal. Politicians are merely mid-level managers, opportunist with an agenda that is to hold the reins of power over our lives for power’s sake. Politicians are usually beholden to one or many special interest that supplies them with support, in one form or another, with the expectation that the favor will be returned when the politician is in his public office.

The leaders that I speak of are nothing like this. Leaders do not accept this responsibility out the love of glory or power. In fact, most leaders would shy away from a process that is as bankrupt of principles and values as we currently see in our elected officials. But these are the people that our country needs most; the reluctant leader. We need, if we are to survive as a nation, everyday people like you and I, people that love their country, their families, and the Freedom that we take for granted everyday to take a stand against elected officials that only are concerned with what the next election will hold for them. We need the coaches, the teachers, the pastors, the students, the mothers, the fathers, the sons and daughters… and even the Bartenders. We need you to step outside of your comfort zone and do what you were born to do; lead.

If I can do it, you can do it

This process of running a race was a fairly difficult one (I hesitate to say very difficult, as my intent is to have you actually consider running), complete with cockroach filled hotels, surveys, questionnaires, speaking events, forums where you have to listen to long-winded politicians speak about absolutely nothing, people that wish to tell you how they suppose you should think, people that will not listen to you no matter how much sense you make, and the worst of it all reporters who either wish to dismiss you or belittle your effort because that’s what they consider news.

However, for all its drawbacks, I’ve found that the process of running a race was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, complete with new friends (not the cockroaches!), the appreciation of people who know you are working for them, the adoration of people that know you are working for them, and the respect of people who know that you are working extremely hard for them! The biggest rewards for me were to become my own hero and the knowledge I gained in the process.

The summation of my story is this… I have proven that there is hope; there is a chance for us to stand up and take back what belongs to us. We do not have to stand along the side anymore and allow others to dictate to us how we are to live our lives. You have the opportunity to take control of your own destiny and bring back this government from the brink of insanity. Plato said, ‘The heaviest penalty to declining to rule is to be ruled by someone inferior to yourself’, well if I have to be penalized with ineffective and morally corrupt leadership, at least this punishment will not be self-inflicted. Never again. I have offered the people the choice of an honest leader, and they still have time to save themselves.

I have been asked many questions throughout this process. But the one question that sticks out is ‘Why are you running this race? You can’t win’. Let me tell you, nothing can be further from the truth. I have won a great victory and the race is not even over. I have inspired many people, educated those who had no previous notion or inclination to know what kind of power they wield as sovereign citizens, and I have watered the Tree of Liberty with my efforts. I may never see the full impact of my run for the Governorship of Maryland as it may be many years before that new leader that I inspired is old enough or in the position in life to mount an offense against the aristocratic control over our lives.

Or maybe I will… Maybe YOU will join me in the cause of Freedom. I intend to fight this fight every day of my life, and I intend to assist anyone that loves their country over the love of a system meant to leave you feeling powerless to do anything about it.

What is your freedom worth to you? Going to the ballot box once every few years to choose the lesser of two evils and spend the rest of the time until the next election lamenting your decision is not what I would call Freedom of Choice.

It’s time you gave the people something worth voting for.

I did, and now you have no excuse.
